A vigil was held to make sure the call to “Bring back our girls” is still loud and clear, 100 days after the Nigerian schoolgirls were kidnapped.
Activitists gathered outside the Nigerian consulate in Manhattan to mark the 100 days since Boko Haram militants abducted more than 200 schoolgirls.
Tuesday, Nigerian president met for the first time with parents of the schoolgirls and dozens of their classmates who managed to escape.
President Goodluck Jonathan assured them of his determination that those still in captivity “are brought out alive,” presidential spokesman Reuben Abati told reporters after the meeting.
